Ancil Hoffman Golf Course Master Plan
Answers to Important Questions about the Ancil Hoffman Golf Course (AHGC) Master Plan
The AHGC master plan is the result of a comprehensive review and analysis of the golf course. The master plan was prepared by a qualified golf course architect working in conjunction with the County and CourseCo staff.
The master plan identifies areas of the golf course that need improvement so that the golf course maintains its playability and economic sustainability for future generations. Portions of the master plan address probable construction costs and ranks the projects by priority. In the simplest of terms, the master plan is a road map to guide the long-term improvement of the golf course.
Golf courses are living things, and as such, they are always changing, for better or worse. The master plan helps the County keep AHGC on the path of constant improvement.
Most of the improvements will occur in phases over a period of years. Large projects like the irrigation system may be done in a single phase by itself.
The intent of the master plan is to maintain a high degree of playability for the widest range of players possible.
Projects related to the Master Plan will begin in fiscal year 2026/2027.
Construction time will depend upon the amount of work undertaken in that phase. The minimum construction period will be approximately 3 months. The construction period for larger phases could last approximately 9 months
