The American River Parkway Multi-Use (Bike) Trail will remain open for the general public to use and enjoy, though delays may occur with the number of attendees expected.

A slight trail detour will be in place starting Tuesday, Sept. 26, and will continue through roughly Oct. 20 for the safety of our trail users. The archery range and park through road will also be closed for safety to allow for large equipment and trucks to set up for the event.  Please see trail detour map to the right. Vehicle detour would be Interstate 5 or Northgate/Highway 160.

The boat launch ramp area will be kept open during the setup and tear down of the event but will be closed for the duration of the event itself from Thursday, Oct. 5 through Sunday, Oct. 10. It will be open during the Golden Sky event.

The majority of concert-goers and traffic for Aftershock is to enter and exit Discovery Park from the Garden Highway entrance and will be shuttled in from Sleep Train Arena in Natomas.  The official designated Ride Share location is located on the south side on Bercut Drive.  Aftershock has worked with the City of Sacramento Transportation and Police on a traffic and parking flow plan to minimize the impacts to local traffic and businesses.  The City of Sacramento Police Department will be directing traffic into the Park.

If you have any questions or need any additional information about the detour please contact our office at 916-875-6336 or ParkEvents@SacCounty.gov.
