Recreation
Recreation Leader - Under supervision, leads and instructs others in recreational activities at parks and recreation centers and community sites. Recreation Leader is a part time seasonal position that guides recreation aides, volunteers, and participants during recreation activities; and assists professional staff in planning, organizing and conducting recreation activities and events.
Park Maintenance
Park Maintenance Superintendent - Responsible for administration of operation and maintenance functions and public promotion of a variety of County parks and recreation facilities. They prepare and administer park unit budgets and resolve complaints from the public; administer contracts, leases, agreements and revenue generating programs; and implement maintenance and operation programs.
Park Maintenance Supervisor - This is the first level responsible to a section head for supervising the operation and maintenance functions at parks, grounds, and/or recreation facilities, as well as assisting the section head with planning and coordinating operation and maintenance services for the facilities managed.
Senior Park Maintenance Worker – Performs and leads a crew comprised of Park Maintenance Workers of assigned maintenance and repair work; independently resolves minor operational problems and assist in planning maintenance and operation of assigned duties, assuring work assignments of crews are carried out.
Park Maintenance Worker II – The journey-level grounds maintenance class provides assigned maintenance and repair work; maintains performance records, and guidance to Park Maintenance Worker I's and Park Maintenance Aides; and coordinates the work of small crew.
Park Maintenance Worker I - The entry-level class in the park maintenance series, performs assigned maintenance and repair work, and may assist in, or directly instruct, temporary helpers in performing assigned maintenance and repair tasks.
Seasonal & Part-time Positions
Recreation Aide - This entry-level position is seasonal and part-time. Under general supervision, a Recreation Aide performs a variety of manual, clerical, routine, and non-professional support duties related to recreation activities, programs, and special events at parks and recreational facilities.
Park Maintenance Aide - Aides receive on-the-job training in park maintenance and provide temporary help during peak work loads. Aides are temporary employees and may not gain permanent status in the job class.
